YEAR 2022–present
POSITION Graphic Designer
Company Background
Tekton is a family-owned hand tool manufacturer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, dedicated to the beauty of simplicity and craftsmanship. Known for creating high-quality tools that emphasize classic design and refined functionality, the brand serves both professionals and enthusiasts. With a commitment to precision and intentional material choices, Tekton embodies the belief that simpler is often better, crafting tools that stand apart in quality and purpose.
Marketing Emails
ROLE Graphic Designer, Email Marketing Strategy, Copywriter
I created engaging marketing email designs that highlight new product releases and company updates. These designs focus on informational visuals and concise messaging to capture attention and educate viewers.
Tool Truck Design
I developed a conceptual truck wrap design that emphasizes the brand’s strengths through bold graphics and clear messaging. This design aims to enhance brand recognition and engage potential customers, setting the stage for future marketing initiatives.
Tekton x Rocky’s Coffee cups
ROLE Art Director and Graphic Designer
COLLABORATORS Rocky’s Coffee House
I collaborated with Rocky’s, a Cornerstone University coffee shop to create a coffee cup design to market job opportunities at Tekton. Partnering with students, we focused on a clean, functional design that aligns with our brand’s aesthetic while appealing to the coffee shop's clientele. I designed the sleeve and provided feedback and assistance on the cup pattern the students came up with. When everything was finalized, I packaged and submitted the design files to the printer. This project highlights our tools in a young, fresh context and strengthens our community ties.
I used Dimension to create this 3D rendering.
Tekton 250 T-Shirt
I designed a t-shirt for the Tekton 250, a racing event held at Berlin Raceway. The graphics are more decorative than normal in order to capture the excitement of the event. The t-shirt aims to resonate with attendees and strengthen our presence in the racing community.
I designed the shirt to have a vintage feel without it looking too off-brand. I used a picture of a race car with Tekton logo decals taken from one of the previous year’s Berlin races. I left the track’s solid yellow line to help guide the eye throughout the design, in a sort of backwards “S” direction.
